People who are desperate to lose weight will try anything sometime – diet pills, weight loss shakes and even prayers. Sometimes all it takes is a ‘common sense approach’.
There are generally five tips which you will be able to follow to reach your weight loss goals. If you follow these tips you will see that you will be able to lose the weight both quickly and easy.
1. Keep a record of your calorie intake
This is probably the most important aspect of weight loss. It is essential to keep tabs on how much you are eating every day. By knowing how many calories you are consuming, it becomes easier for you to plan your weight loss program. Burn more calories than you eat and you are on your way to losing weight easily and successfully.
2. Keep your portion sizes small
Portion size is basically the amount of each food you have on your plate. When it comes to weight loss, this is extremely important. Try not to eat a portion of food that is bigger than the palm of your hand. This will enable you to consume fewer calories and will help you lose weight.
3. Eating the right foods
Eating large amounts of snacks and junk foods is a disaster when it comes to weight loss. Try and have healthy foods such as vegetables, fruits and lean meat in small portions. This will not only fill your stomach but will not add too many calories to your diet. Keep your fiber intake high.
4. Drink plenty of fluids
Drinking plenty of fluids, especially water, is great for weight loss. Drinking water can help fill the stomach and will control your hunger as well. Water is essential to maintain healthy digestion and promotes bowel movements. It also helps maintain the health of all tissues and cells in the body.
5. Exercise regularly
At HeartSense, we recommend that all individuals exercise at least 30 to 45 minutes a day. This can include brisk walking, jogging, skipping, cycling, swimming and tennis, to name a few types of exercise. Regular exercise will burn fat and calories and will help you reach your weight loss goals quickly. Make sure you stick to an exercise plan once you have one.
